  Went into get some ready-made blinds. Place was busy with only a few ppl at the counters only. The staff member at the curtin section was free and we asked for help. Showed her a pic of what we were after and she knew exactly where it was. Very helpful and prompt. No pricing on most things and the self price checkers not working. Probably would have bought more stuff, bit couldn't be bothered getting price check at desk.

  Great huge store. They carry good range of stuffs. The young lady who was at the register at the time was really nice. However.... The store looks quite a mess. Cages and trolleys are everywhere, a lot of items without price tags. Seemed the only ONE price check machine want working. It didn't used to look this bad. And they have maeked down girls hair tie which stretched out badly. Like really bad. They shouldn't sell those at all. Just not right. Wonder what happened to this store. New Store Manager????

  I'm sad to say I think I've had enough of spotlight in general, and specifically this store. In store, I have had to ask people multiple times to recheck the measurements of fabric cuts because they have short changed me. for example, asked for 3m, got 2.5m. Would have been charged for 3m if I hadn't said anything. I thought online orders would help. Now I ordered 3m and got 2m. What a complete mess. I'll order from etsy or ebay from now on.

  Spotlight in general is of course the one-stop place in Melbourne where you can get homewares, bedding sets, decorations, but most importantly fabrics and craft accessories. That said, the experience varies depending on how well the particular store has been kept tidy, re-organised, and re-stocked. Spotlight Mentone has always done a reasonable job at that. A good source for an affordable selection of all kinds of fabrics, though probably 80-90% are synthetic. But good for costumes and stage wear, and you can always find some gems. But if you are shopping for your wedding dress, go elsewhere.

  Parking is easy at the front of the store. Flat, no steps, so straightforward wheelchair access if needed. The shop does have quite narrow aisles.

  Worst service you will ever receive in your lifetime. Pretty sure all employees are set on their slowest mode possible, if I could rate it lower than 1 star I would
